Key concepts and vocabulary related to Civics, Citizenship, Civic Duties, and Civic Responsibilities are reinforced through these review activities, which include a vocabulary word search, multiple-choice maze escape, crossword, emoji riddle, and 32 task cards that can be used for individual practice or a class-wide game! Ideal for test prep or a quick, easy sub plan, this bundle is perfect for middle school students studying Civics, American History, and American government.
These resources were created aligned to the following Florida Standards for Middle School Civics:
- Standard 2 SS.7.CG.2: Evaluate the roles, rights, and responsibilities of United States citizens, and determine methods of active participation in society, government and the political system.
- SS.7.CG.2.1: Define the term “citizen,” and identify the constitutional means of becoming a United States citizen
- SS.7.CG.2.2: Differentiate between obligations and responsibilities of United States citizenship, and evaluate their impact on society.

Included is a Maze Escape, a Vocabulary Crossword, a Word Search, and an Emoji Riddle page. Students break the emoji codes to reveal vocabulary words related to citizenship!
✯ Civics Task Cards: Citizenship & Civic Duties Review: This set of 32 task cards quizzes students on vocabulary and key concepts, and includes definitions, multiple choice questions, scenarios to interpret, and pictures to analyze! Use individually or class-wide in a game of Scoot!
This resource is presented as a non-editable PDF. It includes answer keys. Both resources are available digitally through TPT Easel, as well! The digital TPT Easel versions can be assigned directly through Google Classroom, or you can generate a link that can be shared with your students over email or through your school’s LMS!
