Ideal for middle or high school Civics or American Government students looking to review content that spans the entire school year.

This Civics End of Year Review Color-By-Number Activities for Civics & American Government resource includes:

✯ Three unique Color-By-Number pattern worksheets, each with two pages of review questions, 24 questions each. The Color-By-Number patterns are themed around Civics-related imagery, including a set of scales, a red-white-and-blue “political party” and a star-spangled American Flag.

Students will answer the 24 standards-based, multiple-choice review questions to reveal the color code for filling in their Color-By-Number sheets. Provided they answered all the questions correctly, they’ll see a hidden image start to emerge!

✯ Over 70+ standards-based, multiple-choice questions, 24 to each Color-By-Number page. These review questions challenge students to remember vocabulary and key concepts from just about every topic taught in a standard Civics or Government curriculum.

The standards-based review questions reinforce key vocabulary and main idea concepts from across the standard Civics or American Government curriculum. The review topics include:

  • Civics & Citizenship
  • Foundations of Government (including Types & Systems of Government)
  • Colonial Rebellion & American Revolution
  • The Declaration of Independence
  • The United States Constitution
  • The Three Branches of Government: Legislative, Executive, and Judicial Branches
  • The Bill of Rights
  • Voting Rights Amendments
  • U.S. Foreign & Domestic Policy

Students will love this engaging, meaningful review—so much so, they’ll hardly realize they’re studying for the End of Course exam!

Sample Questions include:

  • This was the country’s first attempt at a governing document. (Articles of Confederation)
  • The Intolerable Acts were passed by the British crown in response to this rebellious act of the American Colonists. (The Boston Tea Party)
  • The 26th Amendment lowered the national voting age to this number. (18)
  • The ability to impeach a president and remove them from office is an example of this branch’s power to check the Executive Branch. (The Legislative Branch)
  • Tinker v. Des Moines questioned whether teachers and students retain this constitutional right at school. (The First Amendment Right to Free Speech)

These Color-By-Number reviews work great as stations activities, too! Consider creating End of the Year Review Stations with my Civics End of Year Review Dominoes or How A Bill Becomes A Law Board Game!
