✯ A Maze Escape. Students navigate the maze of review questions by drawing a straight line through each correct answer. Questions cover key concepts related to the Colonial Rebellion, including the Stamp Act, Intolerable Acts, Boston Tea Party, Boston Massacre, Continental Congress, and Declaration of Independence. 

Sample questions in the Maze Escape:

  • The Stamp Act placed an extra tax on these types of goods. (Paper goods)
  • This was the first deadly conflict between British soldiers and protesting American colonists. (The Boston Massacre)
  • The name of Thomas Paine’s 1776 pamphlet encouraging colonists to support the Revolution. (Common Sense)

✯ A Vocabulary Crossword with key words related to the Colonial Rebellion.

Sample Crossword clues include:

  • To protest a tax on tea, colonial rebels dumped British tea into this city’s harbor. (Boston)
  • This act imposed a tax requiring a special watermark on certain goods, including land deeds and marriage certificates. (The Stamp Act)
  • At the Second Continental Congress, the American colonies declared this from King George III. (Independence)

✯ A Vocabulary Word Search with a word bank full of vocabulary terms.

  • Sample words from the Word Bank: Revolution, Declaration, Taxation, Representation, Boston Tea Party, Sugar Act, Townshend Acts.

✯ An Emoji Riddle activity. Students decipher emoji codes that represent key vocabulary words. A super fun activity! (Happy Teacher Tip: Extend this game by challenging students to come up with their own emoji codes for other vocab words!)
