These Executive Branch Review Games for Civics and American History include four pages of review related to the President, Executive Branch, and Article Two of the U.S. Constitution! Students review vocab definitions and key concepts like the President’s qualifications for office, the roles of the President, the Presidential powers, the departments in the President’s Cabinet, and more!

Included is a test prep maze escape, vocabulary word search and crossword puzzle, as well as an emoji riddle of the Presidential powers! This resource is suitable for middle school Civics, American History, or American Government students and is a great way to review material at the end of a unit or before the end of year exams. Students love doing the puzzles, and they get a good review of their Civics vocabulary while they’re at it!

✯ A Maze Escape. Students navigate the maze of multiple-choice review questions by drawing a straight line through each correct answer. Questions include vocabulary definitions and key concepts related to the Executive Branch and Article Two of the U.S. Constitution. 

Sample questions in the Maze Escape:

• The President has the power to appoint Supreme Court Justices, the heads of this branch. (Judicial)
• These directives from the President carry the full weight of the law. (Executive Orders)
• The President has the power to issue this, forgiving someone for a crime. (pardon)

• This Article of the Constitution establishes the Executive Branch of government. (Article Two)
• This “College” is responsible for electing the President of the United States. (Electoral)
• The President has the power to sign one of these agreements with another nation, though the Senate must approve of the agreement with a 2/3rds vote. (Treaty)
