Students can show off their comprehension and their creativity in this easy-to-use one-pager, perfect for middle school students studying the United States Constitution and the Voting Rights Amendments in American Government, Civics, or American History class! 

Compatible with the Florida State Standard for Middle School Civics:

  • SS.7.CG.2.3 Identify and apply the rights contained in the Bill of Rights and other amendments to the U.S. Constitution. 

This Voting Rights Amendments Creative One-Pager Resource includes:

The Amendments to the U.S. Constitution included are:

  • The 14th Amendment (all citizens have equal protection under the law)
  • The 15th Amendment (all citizens can vote regardless of race)
  • The 19th Amendment (all citizens can vote regardless of gender)
  • The 24th Amendment (eliminating poll taxes)
  • The 26th Amendment (lowering the voting age to 18)

Students write a 1-2 sentence description of each Amendment and include an illustration that represents the main idea. This is a great opportunity for students to get creative and make something hands-on, and it lets you check whether they’ve absorbed the main ideas behind these Constitutional Amendments. 

Use as homework, a cumulative review, or quick and easy sub plans. These One-Pagers can take as little as one class period to complete. Students can illustrate the One-Pagers by hand, or print and paste images from the internet. The finished One-Pagers make for a great bulletin board of student work, too!
