Decorate your Florida Civics classroom with this set of the Florida Middle School Seventh Grade Civics Standards Posters! All 40 standards from the Florida Department of Education for middle school Civics are included, both in the original text and as “I can…” statements. Place your daily objective on the board each morning or make a décor wall out of the full year’s Civics standards! 

These Florida Civics Standards Posters are arranged two per 8.5×11” page. These won’t take up too much room on your board, and you can have plenty of space to write out the day’s lesson underneath! Kids (and admin) will appreciate having the lesson’s objectives clearly displayed.

✯ Two sets of the 40 Florida Seventh Grade Civics Standards. 

• One set is phrased as “I can…” statements, and one includes the original text from the Florida Department of Education website. 
• Each of the four categories of standards are color-coordinated to make organization easy!
• Two posters are included on every 8.5×11″ page, so these should be large enough to see from afar, but still small enough to easily display on your board each day.

• SS.7.CG.1.2: I can trace the principles underlying America’s founding ideas on law and government.
• SS.7.CG.3.11: I can analyze the effects of landmark Supreme Court decisions on law, liberty and the interpretation of the U.S. Constitution.
• SS.7.CG.2.2: I can differentiate between obligations and responsibilities of U.S. citizenship and evaluate their impact on society.

The 4 overall standards for Florida’s 7th Grade Civics:

• Standard 1: Demonstrate an understanding of the origins and purposes of government, law, and the American political system.
• Standard 2: Evaluate the roles, rights, and responsibilities ofU.S. citizens, and determine methods of active participation in society, government, and the political system.
• Standard 3: Demonstrate an understanding of the principles, functions, and organization of government.
• Standard 4: Demonstrate an understanding of contemporary issues in world affairs and evaluate the role and impact of United States foreign policy.

You can make a bulletin board out of your year’s curriculum, or place the day’s objective on your whiteboard and switch it out for each lesson!
