Teaching Ancient Civilizations in World History? You’ll need GRAPES! This GRAPES of Ancient Civilizations article, review, and one-pager is ideal for the first week back to school.

Students will read a one-page informational text on the GRAPES acronym for studying Ancient Civilizations: Geography, Religion, Achievements, Politics, Economy, and Society. They’ll complete a comprehension review that touches on key topics from across your Ancient Civilization curriculum, like Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, the Incan Empire, Ancient China and more. A creative one-pager project culminates the activity. Students define and illustrate each category in the acronym, showing off what they have learned.
